Enterprise 2.0 - The Art of Letting Go

Michael Koch, Prof. Dr.

Head of the Research Group on Cooperative Systems and Professor of Cooperative System Programming at the Faculty of Information Technology, University of the Federal Armed Forces, Munich. After completing his studies in computer science at Technical University of Munich, Michael Koch received his doctorate in 2003 for his thesis “Systems Supporting Communities – Architecture and Interoperability.” He subsequently held deputy professorships at the universities of Bremen and Dortmund. His work focuses on collaborative applications and systems for promoting community building/groupware, as well as researching future trends and developments in the area of applied information science. Recent publications include “Social Software: Status quo und Trends” (2007) and “Enterprise 2.0 – Planung, Einführung und erfolgreicher Einsatz von Social Software im Unternehmen” (”Success with Enterprise 2.0: Planning, Introducing, and Implementing Social Software in the Enterprise”) (2008). Memberships: German Computing Society (Gesellschaft für Informatik, GI - Special Interest Group CSCW), ACM (Special Interest Group SIGGROUP, SIGCHI), IEEE CS.
